Mark Mills, Ontario born, moved to Saskatoon in 1979 where he met his wife, Betty. They settled into a comfortable home in Ward 3, where they currently reside and where they intend to spend the rest of their lives.
Shortly after arriving in Ward 3, Mark started a business that grew until he sold it in 1996. After his business sold, Mark decided to put time into his passion for landscaping. He managed to turn his passion into a thriving business while maintaining a loyal customer base. 20 years later it continues to flourish.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys helping others and travelling around Saskatchewan with his wife and their two dogs.
Mark understands what the value of time and dedication could bring to communities so he offers some of his time to volunteer for New Hope Dog Rescue and Pets In The Park. He also supports many causes such as: Sea, Air and Army Cadets, Girl Guides, Cubs & Boy Scouts, The Salvation Army, The Red Cross, The Lions Club, War Amps Canada, The Royal Canadian Legion, Saskatoon Interval House, just to name a few.
The Path to City Councillor
Maurice (Moe) Neault: Ward 3 City Councillor (2000 – 2011 RIP) Big shoes to fill.
“Moe always made himself accessible to his constituents. He would listen to your concerns and take them as his own and he would find a solution. If it was important to his constituents, it was important to Moe. I would like to be just like Moe, in the way he served our community. He is fondly remembered and sadly missed.” – Mark Mills
After observing and experiencing the impact that has taken place in Ward 3 since 2011, Mark felt compelled to take an active part in his community’s growth. He has identified key issues that he feels are vital to the success of Ward 3’s progress. He plans to dedicate the rest of his working life to nurturing, cultivating and shaping the Ward’s development.
As an owner of a 20 year old local business, it turns out that Mark Mills has been preparing to take on a much larger project – to help landscape the growth and development of an area in Saskatoon that he calls home.
